I will be on vacation in New York City while the doll show is taking place, meeting up with Kellie before she travels to Denver, I will be spending a further week having a brilliant time shopping and sightseeing with my lovely hubby. xx
Our summer is spent house hunting We have been searching for a new house since the beginning of the year. We have put an offer in to 2 houses and they got away with higher bids THE ONE will show up someday lol These house are selling over night. Its crazy!!! I have never been to a doll show, but always wanted to go to one. I will one day though.
I am spending my summer house hunting (like Stephanie), having lots of fun with my little man, going to a Pan Am event (beach volleyball), and finishing my online college course
I sure wish I was going, but I, too, am going to miss out. We are downsizing to a smaller home & are supposed to sign the papers to close on our current home the week of ROSE, and maybe on the home we bought 5 days later. So I had better be packing up lots!!!
Our daughter & SIL & youngest grandson are moving from Ohio to Texas & she just dropped off more dolls that she has decided not to take with her this time, some which I had given her & more which I had not. Anyone need any extra dolls???????? Most are LM's!

Another unlucky soul who cannot attend. I try to enjoy the simple things...hopefully we get to sneak in a trip to the drive-in movie theater, have a picnic in the park and take our chihuahua and toy poodle on the tiny train ride they have there---both just love that train so much, go to a nearby Amish town and get some goodies, get to a good auction, go to the farmer's market as much as we can, and enjoy time with my husband's father who is terminally ill.
I'd love to go to the doll show, but since I am new to collecting, and I already had trips planned... I couldn't justify the expense! Hopefully next year.
My husband doesn't really like to be left with our four kids (and he doesn't like dolls) and having four kids, we don't really have the money for me to attend, but my life is far from over. I will have many years to be able to attend doll shows out of state when my kids are older.
This summer we bought two new grills. Traeger. They are awesome. I can't recommend them enough. One of the grills you can use plugged into your car! It's awesome. Perfect for camping. So this summer we'll be doing a lot of grilling. We have a bbq coming up on the 4th and a lot of our family and friends will be coming. I'm looking forward to it. I also hope to be able to do things with my kids this summer including going to the zoo and aquarium.
