Easiest way to Matte a reborn?

Post by Miller »

Hi.

I have quite an old reborn done in genesis heat set paints. She had like a slight rough matte texture to her which I liked. However this has rubbed off in most places and now she is shiny. Can I re-matte her without having to oven bake her? Im not an artist.

Thanks

Yes, by using air dry matte products. Be sure to wash your doll part in hot water and dish soap, rinsing and drying well before matting. Here is my video on how to apply:

Linsa, my guess would be that it was applied too thick. It needs to be applied very lightly. That said, I like the Outdoor Matte Sealer better as it seems to be easier to apply.
The new ReBorn FX matte sealer works well too. They have a video on their website.
