Oldie but much loved goodie.

Post by Annette » Wed Jan 09, 2019 8:24 pm

Haven’t shared my sweet, silicone baby, Kayla in a while. She’s been relegated to the back of the bassinet, and needs a cuddle to make up for that. :)
So I thought I’d share some photos of this sweetie.
She was gifted to me by a very dear and special friend, who used to be a member here, but is now only on Facebook, and deeply involved in animal rescue. She has a heart of gold and has helped save so many dogs and pups and found them all homes. She’s a hero of mine. :)

Would love to see some of your oldie but goodies, whatever the medium. :)

Anyway, here’s Kayla...

 I love her, Annette! She is gorgeous. I don't remember who her artist is, but she is a treasure. My oldest dolls are my Melissa Helland and some of my OOAKs. Here are a few pics:

I also love my Eva Wakolbinger OOAKs. They are from the very early 2000's. Their sweet faces always make me laugh.

Ladies, I am drooling seeing all your beautiful babies. Kaylah is by Wendy Dickinson, I remember cause I love her to Annette, she is such a chubby whubba sweetheart to me.

Dion, your Eva baby is such a beauty, and your Walkolbingers are precious.

Gina I love Himstedt’s, there hasn’t been one I haven’t wanted, but I don’t have any, and now I have no room sadly.

Oh my, that little face is so adorable. I love her chubby little cheeks. I can see why she is a favorite. She looks like the perfect cuddle baby.

Yes! Your memory is better than mine!! I just couldn’t think.

I love seeing the older babies. Remember when OOAKS were the big thing? Are there any artists still making them? Seems that silicones have taken over. As much as I love them, it’s getting so that they’re way out of a lot of people’s budgets. :( I’d like to see more cloth body silicones. But that’s just my preference. Not that I can afford the new ones anyway.
I just keep my eyes open for the older sili’s.....the firmer Dragon Skin ones. I know that, eventually, one that I’ve dreamed of, will come on the secondary market and I may be able to afford it. :)

Well, keep the photos coming! I know there are a lot more “Oldies” out there. Dolls, not ladies (well, those too. ).

I think most of us have regretted selling some of our babies. I could kick myself for selling 4 of mine. You almost never see them anymore, so not quite so likely to get them again, but I keep looking!!
