Can anyone help me out?

Post by lisasdolls » Sun Jul 21, 2019 10:56 am

I am having a hard time putting my pictures on this site. It keeps telling me file to large? How do you make them smaller to fit? Thanks for any help. Lisa :(

I’ve had the same problem. Instead of using pictures stored in browsing, try snapping a picture then use attachment. Sorry, I don’t have a clear cut answer 😞

I use Igmur to upload my photos and then download them on to Doll-Fan.
I have trouble resizing my photos on my computer, so I can have Igmur resize them before downloading onto Doll-Fan.
Igmur is a free photo hosting site.

Open the picture in Paint, click on resize, reduce the size from 100% to something smaller, hit save. Now the picture is smaller and you can attach it to your post.

This is probably kind of a simple minded way to do it but it works for me. I take most of my pictures with my iPhone and if I try to use the picture just as my phone takes it, it is too large. If I pull the picture back up on my phone and take a screenshot of it and then use that version it’s small enough to fit.

If you use an iPhone, there's a faster trick, but it works only if you have the SMTP/POP client configured on the phone. Send the picture by email to yourself. After hitting the Send button, you are asked if you want to send the actual size or a choice of 3 smaller sizes.

Oh that is a good idea. I’ve seen that many times when emailing pics. Which size do you choose?

I don’t know if that worked. The reduced pic is pretty blurry.
I am not a stupid woman but DF’s idiosyncrasies make me feel like an idiot.
Great! Now there are two blurry pics.

Usually the smallest is good enough for using in a post.
