He arrived with a diaper, box, and shipper. No COA or anything else identifying. Doll is made from Tin, "not" Platinum Cure silicone.

3/4 Arms

Cloth Eva style body.

Asking what I paid, $650 shipped in the US. Pay Pal friends and family please.

Any questions, please PM me. Email is yanffitt@gmail.com.

Just posted a picture of the girl in silicone. One of her feet is turned to the side a little too much but the rest of her is perfect.

Diane, the little girl looks so sweet:heart:. Her limbs are sculpted different. I actually like them better. The boys limbs remind me of Taliah's, or Melissa's in style. Thank you for sharing her :baby: .

Someone will be thrilled to have this boy in their collection. I have never seen this one in solid silicone as we use to call it. So many want the full body silicone now but I love the partial silicone babies. They cuddle so much better. Not sure why they were not produced but they really missed a chance of making some money.

I keep wondering why these AD prototypes were never produced.... and I know I bought my two on opposites of the country. I seem to recall that the AD company was downsizing, reducing, giving up, whatever and so they gave some prototypes to various people in the company and thus they were distributed.

I admit I may be totally wrong on my recall -- but maybe that will jog someone's memory of how these prototypes became available. Ruth

I gave this some more thought and goggled Aston Drake and something happened in 1985. That would have been around the time I purchased my prototypes. Does anyone remember?

I honestly do not remember Ruth. Would love to know more if anyone knows. I bought mine off of ebay many, many years ago. Just know they were samples and never produced to be sold in their line of dolls.

I am still thinking about this question. I sort of recall that Ashton Drake was a smaller company - not the one we know of today. And they had purchased the rights to various dolls but in or around 1985 they reorganized (or something) and the sample dolls that they owned they were given/taken/sold/? to their employees and thus we had these AD prototypes that were never made.
