Just an add.......if you don’t feel comfortable “posting your Mug” in the General forum, we can start a new thread in “Off Topic” where only members can see them. 😉❤️ Re-introduce yourselves and your babies, old and new. 😊
Good idea. Can you do that new topic? Or maybe is needed permision from Steve or a moderator?

PLEASE would be possible to know who is the modertor/ors i DF? It can help a lot. :D TY.

I can get hold of Steve and see if he can make the new post a “sticky” so that it stays at the top of the “Off Topic” board.
May take a while, as he may be taking time off for the holidays, but hopefully we can get it started again. 😉

There are no moderators here anymore, I don’t think. Steve is the Administrator, and if there’s problems, he usually sees to them.

OK, thank you. Please ask Steve if he want to do it. :elephant:

I miss the posts on DF also......I have bought so many dolls from members here. And honestly, I would trust sellers on this site more than I would anywhere else.

I think we have more trust here, because a lot of the members have been here for years, and we “know” them. Plus I like the fact we have the feedback forum too, which helps when buying or selling, or even trading.
I must admit, I am reluctant to post anything for sale on Facebook. There are so many scammers over there!
I’ll bide my time and post my babies here, and know whomever buys them, will be honest and trustworthy.
And the same goes for buying here. I trust those I buy from.
I think the members here all have great reputations in the dolly community, and we want to keep it that way. 😉😊
And we support each other in that.

I only feel comfortable posting and buying on Dollfan because of the feedback and also how it seems I know so many of the members here. I see some of the members on Facebook that I know from Dollfan, but I hate the thought of this site going away. I really enjoy it and our members :)

Pat in Alabama wrote: Sat Sep 26, 2020 12:34 pm I totally agree MariaJose and Zu. It is hardly worth the effort to take pictures and post in the for sale section only to have the posts deleted after a few days. There was a time when we could go back several weeks later to reevaluate if we could adopt a certain baby. Now if you don't decide immediately you lose your chance. :(
Posts get automatically deleted after 30 days. If a baby sells generally the seller asks for the post to be deleted . I know in the past some members ask for their for sale post to be deleted after it sells because they were still getting emails about the baby that they sold so wanted them deleted. And sometimes the seller asks for the post to be deleted because the baby is no longer for sale. Are you saying you want the posts just left up, even if the doll sells?

No, if the doll sells delete the post. I am saying when a doll is for sale leave it up until it sells on the seller deletes the post.
Wishing you a blessed day.

I agree with this. There have been dolls put up for sale, and if you don’t keep bumping them up, they disappear, regardless of if they’re sold or not.
My Elouise isn’t sold, but disappeared, and now I have to make another post.

It seems most of the posts here are selling posts. I have to resize my pictures so they aren’t too large to attach to my post. I think the situation with photobucket affected the number of posts the most. It’s no longer as easy to share pictures here as it was before.

I love this site and it seems to me that most members on this site are the only real ones that are trustworthy as opposed to FB. In addition, I don't want to have to subscribe to EVERY single reborn site that is on FB....what a hassle. I hope that this site continues to bring in new members.....perhaps it needs to be advertised more.

Unfortunately it’s easier to post pictures on FB vs here. Too bad there wasn’t a way to make it easier as I bet there are a lot that want to be able to share their pictures as easily as we used to be able to do.

I'm on Doll Fan because I haven't had Facebook in years and refuse to be on any social media. Doll Fan hasn't been easy to make friends, and interact with anyone as I think most everyone that replies or responds are the members that have been members for years. They just know each other better and have a lot of history together. When I post things I'll be lucky to get a reply. I've contemplated to just leave doll fan all together because there just isn't much going on in here and we have to pay. I did try here but I do feel lonely in here as well.

I’m sorry but I know how you feel. I almost didn’t renew my subscription because of it.

I joined facebook years ago because my son wanted me to but I've never taken to it. I rarely visit and it does nothing for me at all.

I tried Instagram because my sister's joined and it has been fun but now one sister has passed away it just isn't the same for me. I recently deleted all my picture's on there and I am thisclose to closing that account.

Dollfan is the best for me, a trusted forum with good, like minded people,

Every once in awhile it is good to go back to the beginning of a post and see see how the discussion has progressed and changed over time. Then start again with where "the problem" is now. So go back to the first post and see how and if you feel there has been changes made and how you feel in the present. Ruth

i think most people are on facebook that is one of the reasons i rarely post here. Also doll-fan here seems to be for the latest and greatest. I don't have the latest and greatest so i rarely post.
