Error messages from using phone smilies

Hey all,
just a heads up because I've received many emails concerning a specific error message one can receive in message posts or PM's. If you see this or something similar

SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]

Incorrect string value: '\xF0\x9F\x98\x89\xF0\x9F...' for column 'message_text' at row 1

it's due to the use of characters not recognized by the DF message board or database. It is almost always due to the use of smilies from your phone which are for transmission between phones/tablets/etc. Makes sense to those devices where the board speaks a different language and has no way of understanding what those characters are or mean so it produces the error. May change in the future but you do need to use the smilies provided by the forum/DF message board if you want to input something like that.

thanks Lori.....btw, I am developing an update to the board that is more phone friendly. Still doesn't understand the smilies from the phone but should be easier to use.
